Getting An Appointment with a Sydney Makeup Artist
Most makeup artists are booked in advance for wedding, especially during the peak wedding season. You need to ensure that you book them at least four to five months before your big day. However, it is highly recommended to schedule a trial makeup session at least two to three months before the wedding as there will always be a few things to go over before you consult the makeup artist to create the look that you would like for your wedding day.
A few things to keep ready during the makeup trial are:

· A sample of the material of the wedding dress
· A sample of the material of the bridesmaids’ dresses
· A few pictures of the types of flowers at the wedding
· Carry along the jewelry you plan to wear and any other hair accessories
· A picture of the wedding dress
· All the details of the venue

Make sure that you inform your makeup artist in advance if you wish you change your look in the time between the trial and the wedding. For example, a fake tan or a new hair color, etc. If all goes well as the makeup trial session, make a note of the colors that they used and the types of makeup too. You might want to take a photo, so it gets easier for them to work with you on the main day. The makeup trial is only for the bride unless you want your mother or maid of honor along to make it a more social occasion and exchange opinions and make suggestions.

Give your makeup artists a call at least a week before the wedding to reconfirm the details of the venue where you will have the wedding. You need to give them ample time to get there and also tell them by what time they need to be there to get your makeup and as well as that of the bridesmaids done. Give yourself an hour for the makeup session and around a half hour for the bridesmaids.

On the wedding day, brides usually have their makeup done before their hair unless the wedding dress needs to go over their head. If this is the case, always get your basic makeup done first and then get the lipstick and mascara applied after slipping into the dress.

Makeup artists in Sydney are usually booked for the bride, the maid of honor, and the bridesmaids. You might want to ask your mother if she would like her makeup done professionally, thought most mothers are a lot more comfortable doing their makeup on their own.
Very young bridesmaids or flower girls do not need makeup. A quick coat of blusher or a touch of shimmering eye shadow would suffice. It also makes them feel special and important in the proceedings.
